I love cars. I also have come to love mountain biking. And it’s been fascinating to watch the rise of electrification in both of them. The parallels are remarkably similar. Both weigh more and both cost more. The initial embrace has been a mixed bag. But more and more of them are finding favor with happy buyers.

Am I ditching my own gas-powered things for electric? No. I still want gas-powered machines in my life. And I can’t actually see a time in the future when that would change. But the electric side of mountain biking? Now that’s a bit more appealing at the moment… and here’s why:
